iputils-arping software package provides Tool to send ICMP echo requests to an ARP address, you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install iputils-arping
iputils-arping is installed in your system.
Make ensure the iputils-arping package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep iputils-arping *
You will get with iputils-arping package name, version, architecture and description in a table
